Is the speedboat ride to Hong Island (Krabi) rough or far from Phuket?
Hong Island (Krabi) is located approximately 25 kilometers east of Phuket, which takes about 40 - 50 minutes by speedboat from Royal Phuket Marina. As a result, the journey is relatively short and comfortable.
Furthermore, the route passes through Phang Nga Bay, which is one of the calmest bodies of water in the Andaman Sea. Because the bay is naturally protected by dramatic limestone mountains on all sides, strong winds and large waves are extremely rare. However, if you are concerned about motion sickness, we recommend taking seasickness medication 30 minutes before departure.
